David is a fun and friendly client that can see the modern pieces we sell outside of the context of our more scientific feeling showroom. As you can see in the pictures below, he has created a beautiful, classic and comfortable space that is not a cliche. Many of the pieces came from Empiric, can you guess which ones?
My favorite part is that David clearly enjoys the process. Well done.

Dear Michael, Annie, Leslie and Max:
Thank you for featuring my living and dining room on your new blog! I can't tell you how much I fun I've had putting these rooms together, and honestly Empiric was the inspiration behind it all. I have so enjoyed shopping with you over the years, and will continue to do so, each time finding something new, unique and unusual -in fact, I was in today and found the perfect chair for a very particular client thanks to the fabulous Leslie!
Keep doing what you do - for me there is no other place in LA that will ever compare to what you have to offer!
By the way, congratulations to both Michael and Annie on your recent nuptials, and I wish you many years of happiness!
Many kind regards and thanks from,
David Beard
WOW! I love these room and am especially in love with the sofa. so chic and gorgeous!
Thank you Heather! Actually, the sofa was Michael Towey's design, and was the first inspiration piece for these two rooms. I bought this sofa right off the showroom floor, and coupled it with a Frankel table about six years ago, and will enjoy it for another six years if not longer. It set the tone of a calm, French feel, yet modern and interesting.
Kudos to Michael for a job well done!
Its customers like you that keep us going David. Connecting over a shared love for good design and fine furniture makes it easy to love Los Angeles. Thanks for your support and kind words. Honestly, who wouldn't want to live in your fantastic place? See you on Beverly!
