Our customer, Brian, asked us to make the Florence sofa look more like the Milo Baughman inspired chair he recently purchased from ever stylish Lawson-Fenning. So we did, and it turned out like this...


It fits perfectly in his living room with a nice mix of un-restored vintage heirlooms and new modern classics (such as the slate poly shag rug also purchased at Empiric). He claims his place is a work in progress but what real home isn't.

Thanks Brian for giving us that little push to go the extra mile for what you really wanted.

Fashion Bloom at Taylor de Cordoba

Empiric is proud to be a part of LA Fashion Bloom, a temporary boutique at Taylor de Cordoba in Culver City's Art District.


Providing lighting and accessories to compliment the featured designers ware's, the space has been transformed from an austere art gallery to a warm, rustic showroom reminiscent to me of Mohawk General Store in Echo Park.


Our pieces mingle with other contributors such as local artist and Reorganica designer, Tony Brown, and floral landscaping designed by Holly Flora.


Proceeds from the purchase of all items, including ours, will go to benefit PS Arts.


LA Fashion Bloom runs through August 8th.

Specifically our new rugs! After a couple years of working out and working through our many many design ideas we are so excited to introduce our line of custom area rugs. Hand tufted in New Zealand wool, both styles can be made in the size and color of your specification. Do You Love Pattern?

Behold! The new space we have leased adjacent to our main showroom on Beverly Blvd. Stay tuned for its makeover as well as updates about our grand opening this summer. The store will now offer more custom Empiric furnishings and prints as well as our much sought after vintage and industrial pieces.

Eisler & Hauner

I am still discovering old designers that inspire me that I have never heard of before like these guys Eisler and Hauner who worked together to make the chairs shown in the pic below for Forma. To me it shows a beautiful balance between efficient use of material and the beauty of form. And I love the contrast of warm rich organic wood and cold rigid steel.
